Fort Braggers are making small but significant changes in addressing the environmental challenges on the planet. Mendocino Land Trust installed twelve new electric vehicle charging stations in Mendocino County creating an electric byway.

 In 2017, Grid Alternatives with the partnership of the City sponsored Home Energy Link Program installed 16 solar systems for qualified families in Fort Bragg. The money saved on utility bills, an average of $1,500/year for a family of four,  stays in the community.

​The story of sustainability between Fortunate Farm and North Coast Brewing. ​
​North Coast Brewing Co is one of the largest employers on the Northern Mendocino Coast. It is a one of five B Corp Certified business in Fort Bragg, joining Bison Media, Thanksgiving Coffee, Harvest, and Flo-Beds in the highest standard of verified performance benefiting workers, environment, community, and customers.

The FBHC mission is to help achieve environmentally sound scientifically-based-strategies for restoration and reuse of Fort Bragg Headlands that will improve the quality of life and economy for our coastal community.
